How to Share Useful Memory Across AI Assistants
Learn how explicit, user-owned context can be available to more than one authorized AI assistant without sharing whole chat histories.
An everyday example
One verified fact set, two different kinds of help
A family caregiver uses one assistant to turn appointment notes into a checked medication schedule. She saves only the confirmed schedule and its source. Later, another authorized assistant uses that durable information to draft questions for the next appointment.
- 1
Choose durable context. Save a confirmed fact or finished file, not an unreviewed conversation transcript.
- 2
Authorize each AI. Connect each compatible assistant separately and approve the narrow scopes it needs.
- 3
Reuse it with provenance. Ask the next assistant to retrieve the item and identify its source before using it.
Plain answers
What to know before connecting an AI
Does shared AI memory mean sharing every conversation?
DiskDrive shares only files and explicit Memories in your Space that the second assistant has permission to retrieve. It does not copy private chat history between providers.
Can different AIs have different permissions?
Yes. Each AI connection has its own identity and scopes. One assistant can be read-only while another can save approved items.
