Your information does not belong to one AI vendor.
Your data · available to the AI you choose
One memory and file archive for the AIs you choose.
DiskDrive gives your authorized AI assistants one private place to save files, find project knowledge, and retrieve durable Memories. Your information stays with you when you change assistants.
You decide which AI can access what.
Each AI gets only the permissions you approve.
Review what an AI did and disconnect it at any time.
Common uses
What can you do with DiskDrive?
Think of DiskDrive as a private drive and memory bank built for AI assistants—not another chat history you have to search by hand.
Remember your preferences
Save writing preferences, working habits, business rules, and other facts you want an assistant to use again later.
Keep project knowledge together
Keep briefs, requirements, decisions, research notes, and important history where an authorized AI can find them.
Save files created by AI
Give AI-generated reports, drafts, notes, and exports a durable home outside a temporary chat or workspace.
Move work between different AIs
Start with one assistant and let another continue from the files and Memories you deliberately made available.
Find old work in plain language
Ask an assistant to search your archive instead of manually digging through old chats, folders, and downloads.
Build a personal knowledge archive
Collect useful notes and source material from many conversations in one private archive that you control.
Give AI useful business context
Let an AI retrieve product rules, processes, client context, and approved reference material when doing real work.
Preserve coding-agent context
Keep specifications, debugging notes, generated documents, and other project artifacts available across coding agents.
Keep provenance and activity history
See which AI created, retrieved, or changed something, when it happened, and whether the action was allowed or blocked.
Control each AI separately
Choose what each AI may read or write, change those permissions later, and disconnect a client whenever you want.
Follow a plain-language example of information moving between two separately authorized assistants for two different jobs.

Questions
Plain answers about AI memory and storage.
What is persistent AI memory?
Persistent AI memory is information that remains available after one chat ends. DiskDrive stores explicit Memories with ownership and provenance so an authorized assistant can retrieve them later.
Can different AI assistants use the same information?
Yes. Each AI receives its own connection and permissions, while the files and Memories remain in your DiskDrive Space.
Does DiskDrive train AI on my files or Memories?
No. DiskDrive does not use customer content to train AI models or for advertising. A configured search provider may process extracted text and queries when semantic indexing is enabled.
Can I control or disconnect an AI later?
Yes. You can review connected AI clients, change their permissions, and disconnect them. Access is checked by deterministic policy rather than left to an AI model.
Which AI clients work with DiskDrive?
DiskDrive supports one remote MCP endpoint. Codex CLI, Claude Code, Hermes Agent, and Gemini CLI have dated live verification. ChatGPT, Claude web and desktop, Codex desktop, and Cursor have setup guides but are not presented as live-verified clients. Muse has an experimental live proof with a known credential-refresh limitation.
Your AI is the client. You are the owner.
